LCP加工成型可通过熔纺、注射、挤出、模压、涂复等工艺。虽然加工方法各异，但有一共同点是均利用在液晶态时分子链高度取向下进行成型再冷却固定取向态，从而获得高机械性能，所以除分子结构和组成因素外，材料性能与受热和机械加工的加工设备及工艺过程密切相关。 LCP即液晶高分子聚合物，英文名Liquid Crystal Polyester，缩写LCP，由刚性分子链构成，在熔融态时呈现液晶性和自纤维增强性，是一种新型的特种高分子材料，高效能性超级工程塑料。密度为1.4-1.9g/cm3，本色为米色。LCP的强度很高，甚至优于金属与陶瓷，其拉伸强度和弯曲模量可超过各种热塑性工程塑料。

1. 加工设备：液晶聚合物加工成型一般不需特殊的设备，常规的聚合物加工设备均可利用。但由于液晶聚合物加工温度较高，故设备选型时因充分考虑其加热系统的能力和设备材质，必须经受得住长时间的高温烘烤。另一方面，由于液晶分子的棒状取向作用，加大模具出口的长径比有利于分子取向，以利于提高材料的力学性能。

Generally, the mold temperature can be controlled at 100 ~ 150 °c below the melt temperature. 3. PRESSURE: Liquid Crystal Polymer Molding also requires a certain amount of pressure, but the pressure and molding rate should not be too high, or it will lead to uneven melt flow, product defects and increase internal stress. In injection molding, the pressure is related to the injection volume, and the general injection volume is 50 ~ 70% of the cylinder volume.
