超高分子量聚乙烯（UHMW-PE）的发展十分迅速，80年代以前，世界平均年增长率为8.5%，进入80年代以后，增长率高达15%～20%。而我国的平均年增长率在30%以上。1978年世界消耗量为12，000～12，500吨，而到1990年世界需求量约5万吨，其中美国占70%。2007-2009年中国逐步成为世界工程塑料工厂，超分子量聚乙烯产业发展更是十分迅速。

采用淤浆法工艺,可用Mg-Ti高效催化剂,可进行间歇聚合,长期运转不需清釜,聚合产物可达较高分子量, (4.8～5百万)。规模在年产1000吨的装置,投资约700万元。界区内约450万,投资回收期在二年内。产品规格及指标:500万及350万分子量。特性粘度2200ml/g,密度0.935-0.945g/ml,堆密度0.35-0.4g/ml。冲击强度≥150KJ/平方米,抗拉强度30～40MPa。断裂伸长率300--400%含水量小于0.2%。本产品为性能优异的热塑性工程塑料,有特出的抗冲,耐磨,自润滑等机械性能,可用于造纸机械,纺织器材,化工机械,物料输送部门以及食品机械,文体器械,高强度模量纤维。

It has special mechanical properties such as impact resistance, wear resistance and self lubrication. It can be used in papermaking machinery, textile equipment, chemical machinery, material conveying department, food machinery, sports equipment and high strength modulus fiber.
