TPV热塑性硫化橡胶（英文为Thermoplastic Vulcanizate），热塑性硫化橡胶的中文简称为热塑性橡胶（英文Thermoplastic Rubber），简称为TPR，但这个名称容易和其它种类的热塑性弹性体（英文为Thermoplastic Elastomer）相混淆在一起，因为通常热塑性弹性体也被大家叫做热塑性橡胶，尤其是苯乙烯类弹性体，目前至少在中国似乎"TPR”已经成为它的专有名称了，一提起TPR，就是指以SBS、SEBS等苯乙烯类弹性体为基料的热塑性弹性体，这与苯乙烯类弹性体在民用以及终端消费品领域中消耗量之大是分不开的。

TPV主要的应用：

1.密封（建筑/汽车密封条，密封圈）

2.SOFT TOUCH，柔软的手感（手柄、握把）

3.抗冲、防震；柔韧性（脚轮、缓冲块；电线电缆、软管）

4.塑料改性，提高材料的韧性以及抗冲击程度。

从热塑性硫化橡胶的性能有别于一般的热塑性弹性体来说，它的应用更偏向于工业制品：

1.耐高温方面，常规的全硫化PP/EPDM可达到135，杜邦推出的工程热塑性硫化橡胶更可耐150以上；

2.耐溶剂及油品方面，TPV中因具有交联的橡胶微粒相，所以通常比较耐溶剂和油品。
