Dynamar FX 5166, FC 5157, and RC 5251Q is a cure system developed specifically for vulcanizing Polyepichlorohydrin elastomers. FC 5157 functions as a vulcanizing agent. Polyepichlorohydrin compounds cured with this system exhibit excellent scorch resistance, significant rheological flexibility, and good heat aging and compression set resistance. In veneer fuel hose constructions, these compounds are also capable of bonding directly to incorporated cure Dyneon? Fluoroelastomers and Dyneon? THV fluorothermoplastics without the use of an external bonding agent.
