7月20日,塞拉尼斯和大赛璐宣布达成最终协议,塞拉尼斯将以15.75亿美元出售其持有的宝理塑料45%股权给大赛璐,交易完成后,大赛璐将拥有宝理100%股权,此次交易计划将在本财年下半年完成。
宝理塑料是由塞拉尼斯和大赛璐于1964年5月4日成立的合资公司,塞拉尼斯持有45%宝理股权,而大赛璐持有55%宝理股权。宝理是全球知名的工程塑料供应商,产品包括POM、PBT、PPS、LCP、GF-PET和COC等。
塞拉尼斯CEO Lori Ryerkerk表示,塞拉尼斯在过去10年中一直在全球范围内投资和快速发展在工程材料方面的基础业务,使塞拉尼斯与众不同的优势之一是拥有能力利用其独特的业务模式和灵活的战略来实现可持续增长,特别是对工程材料市场。塞拉尼斯计划利用该笔交易资金投资到其更高增长的业务上,此次达成的最终协议将推动其未来客户开发与拓展。
塞拉尼斯工程材料高级副总裁Tom Kelly表示,塞拉尼斯将增加对新产品开发的投资,以满足增长领域和关键地区的客户需求,塞拉尼斯的工程材料业务将保持良好的发展势头。塞拉尼斯将继续投资于产品扩展,以满足5G,高移动性,医疗/医药和可持续材料等领域增长的市场需求,还计划扩大其在亚洲的制造能力并提高其技术与创新能力,以满足亚洲地区快速增长的需求。
