溴系阻燃剂由于毒性大使用在减少，而无卤环保磷系阻燃剂会明显降低PC 的热变形温度和冲击强度，因此比较适宜的是有机硅系阻燃剂。另外随着通信电器轻量小型化，Pc饮用水瓶的能力，年耗聚碳酸酯树脂200～300吨。据预测，随着人们对饮用水质量重视程度的不断提高，聚碳酸酯在这方面的用量增长速度将保持在10％以上，预计到2010年将达到12万吨。未来几年我国PC 工业进入一个新的发展阶段，国内生产企业应充分利用国内生产能力增加和在塑料改性及塑料合金方面积累的经验，加快PC 合金等复合材料的开发、生产及应用，，德国拜耳公司、美国GE 化学公司、道化学公司及日本帝人公司的生产能力占世界总能力的80%左右...

PC中文名称聚碳酸酯，俗称防弹胶，系非结晶性热塑性工程塑料。

6、机械设备：各种齿轮、齿条、蜗轮、蜗杆、轴承、凸轮、螺栓、杠杆、曲轴、棘轮、机械设备壳体、罩盖及框架等；
7、医疗器材：医用杯、筒、瓶、牙科器械、药品容器和手术器械，还可用作人工肾、人工肺等人工脏器；
8、其它方面：建筑上用作中空筋双壁板、暖房玻璃等；纺织行业用作纺织纱管、纺织机轴瓦等；日用方面用作奶瓶、餐具、玩具、模型、绝缘接插件、线圈框架、管座、绝缘套管、矿灯的电池壳、绝缘皮包、录音带、彩色录象磁带等。
